Whilst in Western Australia in 2009 I carried a fountain pen and a set of ink cartridges for drawings when I was in the bush. After a while I decided I would like some wash and local colour, since we were drinking English tea made from tea bags it struck me that, tea is a fine colour and tea bags can work as instant sumi-e brushes.
